Arenanet code SMS when not playing
Did you try to login to the forum from somewhere else? That would generate a challenge.
RIP City of Heroes
No, computer wasn’t even on at the time.
I know your computer wasn’t on, I didn’t ask that.
I login and post to the forum from other locations on other devices, like my tablet or when I visit my parents or friends.
If you didn’t, then yes. Someone tried to log into the game or forum with your creds and SMS stopped them. Maybe you should change your password. Assuming this is a new SMS. My phone doesn’t give me a time stamp for messages.
RIP City of Heroes
No, was doing something else, not internet related thing.
I got a timestamp so i’m sure when I got it.
Is it possible that it belongs to an earlier successful login?
I got the sms at 10:29 and i was logged in at 9:10

If your phone didn’t have a service signal when you logged into game, then it’s possible. It’s also possible someone else tried to log into your account. You should still think about changing your password. Or, you might want to create a new email address and have anet change your account to that one.
But then that would mean i would not be able to login and that’s not the case.
Yeah I changed my pass.
Would be better if the sms contained the IP.
Having it contain the IP doesn’t help you in the slightest. You are either trying to log in, or you aren’t. If you aren’t trying to log in, and an SMS (or receive the email, depending on what you use) arrives, should be pretty obvious that something is wrong.
If you are required to submit a code, or authorize a network, then you wouldn’t be allowed to log in. If you logged in, and later on received one, someone is trying to get into your account. Means they have your email address and a password you use.
It would mean a starting point to determine how did they acquire the login information.
