When I attempt to log in it says Account is blocked due to unaccepable behavior, please try again after block has expired.

Problem 1 is I have recieved no email or phone calls letting me know about this and furthermore as to when it will expire, My in game actions are just fine I in my eyes, I have talked in ways that would seem disrespectful to some maybe sure. I have also been talked to in many ways that would reflect the same stature.

So I am definetly going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as I have no way to contact Anet or Guild wars 2 support directy nor was I notified of this action until just now when I attempted to log in and furthermore if my actions reflect those that would be deemed poor or unaccepable there had better be a wave of blocked accounts as just in the past two weeks I have come in to contact with people who said some horrible things to me as well as I to them.

You can contact the CS Team to inquire about your suspension here: Top of Page – Support – Submit a Request.

The only notice you will receive is the message you get when you attempt to log in, unless you submit a request.

You may want to familiarize yourself with the Forum Rules and the UA and RoC.

Thanks I will look over these, regardless its a poor business practice and questionable in nature as to blocking / banning an acokitten with no notice nor any indication as to how long a time set. So I have already filed my complaint with the BBB thanks though.

Well, since you agreed to allow them to modify access to your account at any time, and in any way they so desire, I’m not sure what that will accomplish.

I’m sure the CS Team will let you know if and how you have broken the ToS in their response to your request.

Thanks, yea my real issues is that I have been playing this game since release and never had so much as a slap on the wrist. So to go from that to this makes no sense. I would understand had a GM or Support rep emailed me in r/l or in game letting me know that I had been reported and that was a warning but that has never been the case thus this is the first documented case of any “unacceptable” behavior and so if this is how Anet / Guild Wars 2 support staff handle this kind of matter than I would hope the Ban Hammer is strong, cause just as I may have said some less than desirable things I have been the victim of the same thing, I always look at it as such an eye for an eye. Secondly is the fact that while agreeing to the EULA I may allow them to do whatever with my account it still does not justify my consumer rights being used against me in a questionable manner. Did i probably say some offensive stuff sure, does most of the people in game or a large ammount you bet ya. So my only real problem is that this did not escalate in any way, that it only happened to be right after I had just made a purchase of gems matter of factly and started a new character. Which I am sure has nothing to do with it but regardless shows that I have continued to support this product and expect some level of respect fot the fact that I am a consumer and have said rights.

If someone uses inappropriate language, then you should report them, rather than replying in kind. That will prevent any suspensions being leveled on your account. Food for thought for the future.

I’m sure you would agree that the purchase of Gems, or lack thereof, should have absolutely no bearing on the fair dispensation of consequences of rule-breaking. Otherwise, you would be supporting graft, and that would be undesirable for all.

Not sending out an email does two things :

One, it cuts down on things they have to do. They’d have to do SOME customization for each email. Also helps prevent their support emails from being marked as spam.

Two, it’s a for of security, believe it or not. While I know they did a trial program of sending out notes for language suspensions, other than possibly that (and that had no links in it) ArenaNet will NEVER initiate a contact with you about your account. Which means any emails along the lines of “Login now or your account will be terminated” are fraudulent; merely attempts to get your info.

Your first and only warning is the EULA/TOS. The suspension (here suspension and ban are considered quite the different beast – bans are permanent) is the slap on the wrist. First suspensions (unless particularly egregious) are no more than 72 hours.

It has been roughly 24 hours and I only have received 1 email back in the ticket I opened and that was passing the buck along stating that the ticket has been escalated and I would hear from someone which never happened. So not only have I not heard any formal reason as to why I was unable to access my account, in my request to inquire as to the length of the block I was given the run around.

Each mark results in a temporary account suspension. Suspended account holders will receive an in-game message that explains that the account has
been rendered inaccessible and also provides a specific reason for the account mark and the duration of the temporary account suspension.

This is a direct quote from this page https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-conduct-breaches-outcomes/ which is a direct link to Anet’s own policies and procedures in which an account has become blocked or banned due to a number of reasons as it states specifically in this line however, “Suspended account holders will receive an in-game message that explains that the account has
been rendered inaccessible and also provides a specific reason for the account mark and the duration of the temporary account suspension”. This is a direct violation of their own guidelines as I to this moment now over 24 hours into the blocking of my account have not been notified nor told the specifics of length of time nor reason/s. Will be updating my filling with the BBB to reflect such.

p.s I am not arguing the validity of weather or not I was in fault of using poor words and / or name calling profanity , typically as a lash back at someone who initiated the conversation with me. At no point have I outwardly sought after another player harassing them only in returning said whisper of harassment. My anger stems from the fact that this is terrible support of any kind. There is no customer support number, there was no slap on the wrist or warning giving that I had been in breach of anything nor that a blocking would be imminent and then when I proceeded with opening a ticket I was brushed aside and told that the matter had been escalated. Yet was still not given any idea of what I had done or an idea of how long the time period would be.

Well, there is a public notice about the messaging error, see above^. You can also find there, the notice about how long it normally takes for tickets to be resolved.

Since you already know the reason for your suspension, and suspensions are generally 72 hours, what exactly is the purpose of this forum rule-breaking thread?

You know, it’s funny…You quoted one passage from the User Agreement, but failed to quote the passage directly above it which states:

We do not issue warnings for misconduct. The first mark, with its temporary account suspension, is considered a form of warning and should be
accepted as such by the player
.

The in-game message that you refer to with your quote is the error message you receive when you try to log on. And, as noted above, there is a public notice about said message.

I do hope you have linked this thread in your report to the BBB, just to make sure you are seen as the kind of person that gives all the facts and strives for fair justice to all parties involved.

Im sorry but I believe you are misspoken. The popup window you speak of firstly appears outside of the actual game which is a contradiction to the like also the popup window does not display a time frame again a contradiction to the line I quoted. I did not leave out the line you referred to out of maliciousness. I left it out cause it did not have anything to do with my point so maybe next time you feel like trying to stand on your ego and lay judgement you should fact check first thanks have s great day.
