My friend just bought guild wars 2 and he told me he made his account, he put his serial code in and he was told he would get an email to activate his account. According to him he never got that email and he cant contact anyone for help. So can someone tell me how to help him?

He can contact people for help. Ask him to go to this website. click ‘support’ on top of this page and then ‘Ask a question’.

If you are from Germany, T-Online is currently filtering the mails as spam. Support promised to look into the issue a week ago. If you have never activated anything, support & praying to Dwayna is the only solution you have now.
Still keeps a volume of Kurzick poems ;)

What is your provider?? A german provider is currently blocking mails from arenanet. In any case you should contact support. If it is the german provider, the more customers complaining, the harder the case is that Anet has. If it is something else support is likely to help you.

Hello. Our email provider for the authentication emails had an outage this morning (Pacific time). The issue resolved about 9:30 AM Pacific.

With ‘let us know if you’re still having issues’ Gaile prolly ment that you should file a support ticket if you still have issues.

If you cannot access the game, please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
