Guild Wars 2

Hi, everyone! I play on a Mac (oh look, another Mac thread) and am experiencing horrible connection problems. This only started this morning for me (I live in EST in Southern Ontario, Canada). It took me half an hour to log in to my account or onto a character at all, and now I can’t cast skills or load anything in game. Eventually the game disconnects me from my character and either sends me back to the character screen or totally crashes. A player in my guild also mentioned the same issue and he also lives in Canada, so maybe this is a Canadian issue. Is anyone going through this since last night or this morning? It’s 11am right now.

I started crashing (see my other thread on it too) and I’m not able to log on. Sometimes I just don’t even log on the launcher, sometimes I get to a loading screen that never finishes loading and sometimes I get disconnected during that screen but not always. I live in Quebec, Canada.

Edit: It took me several minutes to load the edit function so I could say the forums also loaded abysmally slowly.

So this is suspiciously looking like a Canada issue LOL, eh?

What you described in your thread is exactly what I’m experiencing.

It’s happening everywhere in NA, as far as I can tell. I just started having the exact same issue today, and there are several other threads that have just started popping up about it: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/I-can-t-log-on-right-now/first#post5781145

The last several hours I’ve been getting a bit further than you guys – the loading screen takes a bit longer than normal (sometimes I can hear my mesmer apply haste to herself several times!) and then once I’m in the game I start running around but… I’m not actually connected. I run over a new POI or WP and it doesn’t register it, I go swimming and it doesn’t change to my underwater weapon, etc. If I log out and log back in I’m back either where I was the first time I logged in or very close to it. So far I haven’t remained “connected” long enough for it to actually realise it wasn’t connected, I’ve just given up and logged out, so I’m not sure how long it would take.

Also… I’m not in NA at all. I’m in New Zealand and play on a Euro server, though I am on a relatively new Mac.
