Q:
BLACK SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am also having this issue, please fix it.
Same here….The thing is that I ’ve updated to 10.9.3 last week….Maybe is something related to this
I too am getting this. I thought it was just my mac. No answer yet?
I just downloaded the new content, and now I am getting the black screen as well. I bought my Mac in 2012, and it was working fine until I got the new content!!! Please let me know how to get into my game.
I get this when I try the terminal command (same issue here)
2014-05-20 18:35:25.368 cider[701:507] SendRequestWithTimeout failed – no server response
I am getting exactly the same.
2014-05-21 10:38:47.583 cider[793:507] SendRequestWithTimeout failed – no server response
2014-05-21 10:39:00.349 cider[793:507] setPresentationOptions called with NSApplicationPresentationFullScreen when there is no visible fullscreen window; this call will be ignored.

And the blackscreen with the mouse of course…
A bunch of people have posted about the black screen with the cursor but nobodys answered. I need an answer! I meet all the requirements but my computer is a 2010 version. All I get is a black screen after i click play. I have downloaded it twice with the same result both times. My friend downloaded it as well on a newer mac and it seems to be running fine for him. I have restarted my computer after each download and checked for updates both times.
I really need an answer otherwise I’m just going to have to ask for a refund because this is just ridiculous.
Try to remove or move folder “/users/you_user_name/Library/Application Support/Guild Wars 2” and run you game again.
YESSSSS….Thank you that worked for me now!!!
I deleted the Guild Wars2 folder as the user above said and it worked. I had my doubts and had to alter my mac settings to show hidden files and folders to get to the library folder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
Once i’d done that and reloaded the game I then turned hidden files off
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder
So, thanks for that post, it worked for me and I can get back to playing GW2 on my MacBook Pro
