hi my account has just got banned for racial slur i was in WvW(desolation) and this week we had vizunah square who are french thats ok they zoom hack and speed hack many times we allways report them. but this week we are finally winning them and they send guys over to our server to constantly build trebs in are keep by the supply huts to waste all our supply so i told him to stop wasteing our supply he msg me in french and i told him to go back to his own server and called him a frog and i get banned for that wth?. i go on team speak and everyone is saying him and his freinds are still jumping maps building mass trebs and burnning our supply well isnt that cheating going on another server who you are faceing and burnning all there supply none stop and hes not getting banned and 20+ guys have reported him. i have the screen shots allso if you need them.

You are welcome to contact Customer Support and send them your screenshots. Unfortunately, slurs (racial or otherwise) are not allowed. A good policy is to never type in chat out of anger or frustration.

its silly though i mean i didnt use the n word or nothing i said frog and the guy was only on our server to troll us by useing all our supplys and there was several people saying much worse things to him i am on ts now and there still playing on the game you cant ban one guy and not the other guys. thats just wrong and arenanet needs a reality check if they ban people for calling someone a frog. if thats racial and banable thats ok but why arenanet does not ban all these kittening cheaters on the french server who zoom hack everytime we face them and have theifs speed hacking ban them too. ill send you screenshots of them cheating everytime if you dont ban them when i send you proof dont ban me for calling them frogs.

ok so i have found out on team speak now the french guy is playing your report system hes pretending in map chat hes building the trebs for defense so when you guys look at his reports its all clean please log on desolation wvw now and look what hes doing >.> a 2nd guy just got banned from our server now this is getting silly hes an evil troll.

yep i did and calling someone a frog isnt racist at all even if they are french french people are not a race.

No it’s not racist but an ethnic slur. And most certainly it is a slur.

Slang: Disparaging and Offensive. a French person or a person of French descent.

If you think someone is cheating in WvW or PvP then report them don’t engage them because if you lose your temper and they don’t then they win.

Not that I ever use the word. but this is the first time I ever heard of it being a racial slur. Seen plenty of historical movies where it was used. Had to look it up. And sure enough its a slur

Yeah it’s a common slur for the French. You only have yourself to blame. Suck it up, and don’t throw insults around next time.

Well obviously the OP knew it was offensive. I mean, you don’t get really mad at a guy in WvW and say “You are an attractive and successful French fellow! But your actions anger me!”

So you used an ethnic slur but had a good reason to do so. Don’t think the rules of conduct say it’s ok to do things against the rules if you have a good reason….

Did you tell him to go away or you would taunt him again? (horrific accent optional)

turns out the guy was on team speak he just laughed at us when two of us got banned guess he did win aye

ArenaNet have clearly stated their policies. You were reported by someone for using offensive language, an actual human being at ArenaNet reviewed the report and felt it was justified. So, you were suspended from the game.

Next time, avoid the situation and don’t even speak to the other person. Better yet, play on a different server and you won’t even run into him.
