Banning Glitches
Our Guild wars 2, leader in Guardians of the Light after permotion a member to officer status. We are sending in report tickets for this issue and hope that it gets resolved in a timely manner. The guild has full backing of the of our leader and believe that all claims against his account are unjust and are unsubstantiated. We need this issue to be resolved as soon as possible. Our officers and leaders have put a lot of real time and real world cash into making this guild strong. We are against any breaking of the rules of conduct and remove any members that we feel have violated the terms of service.
Guardians of the Light is over 10 years old and we have made it a community and we are looking forward to your response in resolving the issue. We are here to support the Guild wars community in every effort.

I heard from our guild leader he was un able to create a support account. Is there another path he can use that he can get this resolved?

I agree with this although I have been a member for about 6 months His behavior has ALWAYs been exemplary and above reproach .. Please look into this glitch and get it resolved in a favorable end.. Thank you a longtime GW1 and GW2 player – hawksong
Hello, our guild leader was accidentally banned for promoting and officer. Is there anyway of fixing this situation or able to give some insight on how this problem may be fixed? Any information would or assistance would be greatly helpful.
Our guild leader was banned and we GOTL want him back. I have known Derehk for over 10 years of mmo playing. He has been the guild leader of GOTL for 10 years from Everquest 2 to RIFT to GW2 and many other games. We have over 300 members in our guild. Derehk has been the scourge of gold sellers, sending numerous reports.

It’s very strange that he got banned with the excuse being; “for buying gold”. This is because he would never buy gold for a third party when he was ALWAYS purchasing gems from the gem store directly.

Jarts here, Second in Command of Guardians of the Light [GOTL] (Dragonbrand). This issue , though disturbing is also equally not as it is most likely a script error.
Please have a look at the server logs, and the bug reports (timestamps).
It would be a severe injustice for a mistake like this to go un-investigated.
Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Some points:
One: it’s currently 2am for the ANet staff (Gaile Gray) that handles this forum and multiple postings are not going to get her out of bed to work on it.
Two: testimonies by other than the person involved are worthless as they don’t know what actually happened. They may think they know, but they don’t.
Three: people other than the person involved cannot make support tickets that won’t be immediately dismissed as these people again do not have knowledge of what actually happened. In addition, these tickets slow support down since they will only be closed without the problem being addressed.
Four: don’t make a ticket and then make a thread. Support needs time to work on the issue. Doing this clogs up the forum to no purpose and slows Gaile down as she has to read, comment on this by telling you not to do this, then close down the thread. It takes away from people who are following the rules and posting correctly.
If your friend needs to make a ticket, he goes to the support tab at the top of the page then goes to ‘ask a question’ and fills out a ticket from there.
Well least we know this guild is a spamming guild.
Don’t act like kittens and think this issue is more important then other peoples issues. Also stop saying the issue is about promoting a player when one of you has admitted the issue is NOTHING to do with it.

And as stated many times, you can be banned for something you did a few hours or days ago.

Yep. And here we see the REAL reason for his banning. Not for promoting someone but for gold buying. The other people who posted and said for promoting someone either don’t know near as much as they think they do or they are being dishonest with their statements.
If he got banned for this reason, he still needs to contact support using the support tab and ‘ask a question’. Support is the one to sort it out, one way or another, not the forum.

please tell your guild leader to contact the support at http://en.support.guildwars2.com/ in order to resolve this issue, filing multiple tickets by multiple people might slow down the process of this issue getting resolved and therefore will not help you. Furthermore, posting on behalf of a banned user is against our forum Code of Conduct. If you or the member in question believe that the suspension/termination of the user’s account was in error, an appeal may be made to forums@arena.net (only one email, made by the banned user in question). For those reasons we decided to lock this thread, as the forums are not the place for such discussions and appeals.
