Unless someone here happens to work for your bank I don’t really see how we could know that.
I recommend you check with them, either via online banking if you have it or by getting a statement. (Most UK banks enable you to print a mini-statement from any ATM, not sure about other countries.)
If they have charged you and you haven’t gotten your gems then you will be able to either get the money back or get the gems added to your account by contacting support.
