Yesterday I have changed my system from Win 7 Home 64b to Win 8 Pro 64b and I have noticed that grafic in Guild Wars 2 changed a little. Colors are more intense, sky i darker and there are more lights/shadows effects. Is it possible that Win8 installed some different drivers for my gfx card and this caused the change?

I honestly cant see how the new OS did that unless GW2 has some hidden windows 8 features no one knows about it’s most likely not the cause, did you install newer drivers then your previous set ? and have you tweaked your monitors settings lately ?

This sounds more like a change to the Post-Processing setting within GW2. There is quite a big difference between None, Low and High, so assuming you remember what you had that set to before changed from Windows 7 to 8, check that it’s still set to that.

If you never changed the graphics settings yourself it could be that auto-detect is simply giving you different results with the new OS.

Post processing only applies bloom and MAYBE colour correction.

I dual boot Windows 8 64bit Enterprise and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Not one single FPS difference between the two. So I also vote for a changed setting somewhere. And I’ve done extensive testing expressly for the purpose of seeing if there is any FPS diff.
