Yup. I think TP just ate 3 of my gold. I bought some materials, it took my money, and gave me nothing. I’ve been waiting over 10 minutes and it still hasn’t shown up. I’m also getting disconnected for absolutely everything right now I work in retail, and haven’t had a day off since Thursday. I finally have my day off after the weekend from hell and can’t even enjoy a little game time.

Yes I just started having this issues as well. Hope they fix it soon, but your not the only one I know else in my guild have the same problem, so your not alone.
Same problem here. Possibly related to the login and disconnection issues people are having.
Same here, It disconnected me while in the Trading window, logged back into to find my 16 gold gone.
I also bought items that never showed, then got kicked off and can’t get back in. So here’s hoping it’s a temp thing.
In the same boat. It feels like this game is imploding beneath its own weight. I have outstanding issues which are 6+ weeks old and all I hear are crickets…
The TP is also eating cancelled translations, I had 101 Orichalcum Sword Blades up, was being undercut by up to 3s so I decided to sell then at ordered prices instead of waiting, so I cancelled my order. But to my surprise and later frustration, all that happened was the disappearance of my listing. At ordered prices those blades were worth 10g; such a sad panda right now.
I’m not having DC issues…but i also have it where TP eats my money and doesn’t give me anything in return

now I can’t even connect to the server. what is happening with Anet?
same here, I am still waiting for my purchases to appear after i bought something. I was doing crafting and was 380 way up to 400. Sad
20 minutes have passed and still no items or my missing gold. Too scared to put money into the TP right now. Game is pretty much unplayable too with all the disconnects. A roll back will most likely be coming soon. I suggest to not invest too much time into anything until these issues are resolved.

They disapeared out of my list? Where are they gone?!

I don’t think the trading post is eating items. I tried to buy some runes, and it kept saying it couldn’t complete the transaction and I needed to refresh. so I tried 3 times and nada. Then my wife said she couldn’t log in. I tried to switch characters to see if I had any problems. I must have gotten lucky because I was able to get in. I saw I had items for pickup and it seemed all my purchases on the other toon did go through. Then I tried switching back and couldn’t log in anymore. Don’t be surprised if you log in and your items / gold are waiting for you because transactions are just delayed. I hope it wasn’t just a case of me getting lucky.
I’m back in game at least. I’ll go see if my stuff is there or my money is back
And my stuff is available for pickup. I hope it was just a slight issue.

If AN wrote the transaction code correctly (which I’m assuming they
did), they’ll be able to “catch the database up” with a log of the
transactions.
Since I’m waiting for the login server to come back up, I’ll add a bit
more info..
There’s the naive (read: dangerous) way of doing transactions on their
end: remove item from player A, add item to player B,. The problem? If
there’s an interruption (like a disconnect), player A loses the item.
The semi-naive way (read: a bit safer, but still problematic): Add item
to player B, remove item from player A The problem? If there’s an
interruption (like a disconnect), the item is duplicated (although
player A doesn’t “lose” the item, there’s still a big problem with
duplicate items).
The “best practices” (read: safer) way: log the removal from player A,
log the addition to player B, and now remove the item from player A,
then add the item to player B. If there’s an interruption (like a
disconnect), the database still has the item in player A’s inventory,
and we just go through the log’s sequence of events again (remove from
A, add to. This is akin to “Write-ahead logging” (or “journaling”).
It’s a kind of consistency check that you’ve probably heard in (MMO
jargon-y) terms of a “roll back.” If you keep the log around, you can
rebuild the database up to any previously saved entries. Pretty cool, eh?

I too cancelled a few transactions and received no gold back.
