Guild Wars 2

Just bought Guild Wars 2, 3 days ago. Every since installing I am getting random black screens that just do not disappear. I have to alt+F4 to close. This will happen anywhere from 5 min to 20 min of game play. I have read that changing router settings, un installing + re installing graphic drivers as well as limiting fps in game will fix this issue, but I have done all that and still does not help. I have a high end system that is about 3 months old running a GTX690. Every other game runs flawlessly. Im just disappointed as I was looking forward to getting into Gw2, but right now i do not see why I paid money for it.

I used all the tips, which I found to solve this problem, including the new drivers, the settings of the video card and many other, but nothing helped. In any of the vast number of games, including TERA online, beta’s of Mabinogi heroes and blade and Soul, also a lot of other new games which are not online, but I have not had this problem.
My computer was going to recently specially for games based on “Respublic Of Gamers” (ROG), I think many people will understand that the system parameters are not of the weak, and all it cost me a lot of money, but that’s the trouble – I can not only play in this game the black screen in the game for more than 10-15 minutes.
I am offended to the depths of the soul.

Same here, i have a good system whith i5 and Crossfire 7850 so issues relatd to vga or cpu or driver or cap are not causing this BSs…

Someone solved removing their router from the connection, using directly the modem.
Dunno what to do. Maybe i’ll sell my account. greetings

There are many causes for black screen issues and not surprisingly so there are many solutions people have found works.

See Part 7.3 of this thread to start troubleshooting it.

try setting your gpu fan higher or setting up a custom fan ramp that keeps the card below 65c, note the gpu heat isnt the issue most of the time, its the vrm’s getting to hot due to poorly setup fan ramps in card bios(they worry more about keeping the card silent then keeping it cool…….idiots!!!!)
