Black Screen Issue. HELP!
anyone? I’ve even tried turning windows firewall and my anti virus software… still keeps happening… one more thing, If I had any interface windows open at the time (options, bags, hero screen etc.) they stay open until I close them manually and then I can’t open them anymore.
I unfortunately am having a similar/same problem. No matter how I run the game with any settings the screen will go black, seemingly random at this point, still have sound, and the game is still going on in the background, as I hear the fighting going on and my key presses still register. It will sometimes cut out for a second or sometimes will do it simultaneously a couple times, but the black screen itself only lasts at most a second or two.

GPU: MSI R9 390X
Monitor 1 (Main/DP 1.2): ASUS PB287Q 4K Monitor Playing games @ 2560×1440 60Hz
Monitor 2 (Secondary/HDMI): Samsung S27B550 1080p @1920x1080 60Hz
Storage:
SSD: OCZ Vertex4 with Windows 10 Pro x64 installed, also where GW2 is installed.
500Gb Seagate SATA HardDrive
1TB External Western Digital Harddrive

Side Note:
I feel it’s important to point out that no matter what clock speeds/resolution/storage device I run the game on the problem still persists. I have tried running absolutely nothing but GW2 and the problem still occurs (Thought it was HW Acceleration related). I have double checked all drivers, motherboard BIOS etc are up to date. So as far as I can tell it’s either an GPU driver issue, a game rendering engine issue, or a combination of both. I do know I was not getting this issue before i got my R9 390X, could be the cause or just a coincidence.
Thanks to anyone for your time reading this.
I don’t think we are having the same problem, when my screen goes black it doesn’t come back at all and I have to alt+f4 the game and log in again to keep playing which is another 10-20 minutes of game time until it happens again.
Edit: Also I’ve thought of something, I’ve had problems before with HDMI cables, if you’re using one try changing it with some other cable or if your monitor supports DVI try using that for a while and see if it helps.
