Guild Wars 2

Firstly, I have read the sticky already about this, and my settings were already previously set to the recommended settings. Screen goes black for a few seconds and then it comes back, in PvP it kills my character. Outside of PvP it’s like nothing happened. Occasionally it freezes up and I have to shut down GW2.

This is not fixing my problem and now it’s killing me in PVP which is highly aggrivating since it auto-kills me and I am un-revivable.

My drivers for my video card are up to date.

I just spent $750 upgrading my computer.

Processor: AMD FX – 6200 Six- Core Processor – 3.8 GHz
Memory: 16 gigs
Video Card: GeForce GTX 550 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Powersupply: 900w

Help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Im also having a blackscreen issue. Ive had it for several months, and it mostly occurs in fractals. Both my screens go black, and i am forced to do a hard restart of my computer.

For example yesterday i played for about 9 hours straight (ive just had surgery and cant do much else right now). I was doing dungeons and events all day, then i entered a fractal and within 10min i got a blackscreen.

This morning i got up turned my comp on and entered a fractal and blackscreened within 20seconds.

I have tried, disconnecting my 2nd monitor, checking my anti aliasing settings, updating all drivers, playing on lowest settings, and almost every other little thing in all the threads ive read about it. It seems to be getting worse, and i can find no decernable pattern (like time played before dc, etc)

Its not an overheating issue, its not a card issue because this happens in no other game but guild wars.

I basically cannot run fractals at all because i am garrenteed to dc at some point, and i fear that all this hard restarting will damage my computer. It does happen occasionally in dungeons but nowhere near as much.

How about some help here Anet? Or are you too busy being worried how you can make money off of this?

Same problem here from the day I bought this crap.
I even bought a new 800W gold certified power suply for my nvidia 570 gtx even I’ve never had any problems with any games so far only with GW.
I’ve reinstalled my system from win7 to win8 with all the latest drivers.
I’ve read all the threads about this problem and try everything with no results.
I am still crashing randomly.

This game is costing me a lot of money and I can’t even play it.

yep same problem here, got a black screen and have to hard restart,

I believe it is a Driver issue so i did a clean install of 310.90 didn’t work , then i tried 306.97 and it was even worse, i just got that problem in LA and Fractals.

I think its a special case of TDR because WhoCrashed suggest that.

Pretty please Anet with Omnomberrys on top comment on this! We’d just love it if you could offer some assistance with this problem that many people are having! That’d just be super swell of you! ^^
