Could you please start temporary blocking accounts already that are reported as hacked?
We can just provide you the CD-Key of the account that has been hacked.
This will stop hackers from using bots or deleting characters/items, as to my big surprise ArenaNet can NOT rollback at this point (which is already horrible as it is).
This won’t require a whole lot of adminstration and gives you time to solve the actual incident.

I can’t stand the fact that some chinese guy is playing on my account right now, using my “online identity”.
Next to that I have not used my login information anywhere else then just GW2 and this is the first time in 15 years I ever got “hacked”.
I do not believe they obtained a list of accounts, but a GW2 server got hacked instead.

This Game Status Update makes absolutely no sense “We’ve observed hack attempts against hundreds of thousands of accounts that don’t even exist. To protect those people in case they purchase Guild Wars 2 and create an account, we will now disallow customers from picking passwords that we’ve previously seen used in a hack attempt.”
Blocking hundred of thousands passwords? yea right.
I think ArenaNet are just covering up at this point on what really happened.

in addition to losing your account for days, its possible youve lost tens or hundreds of hours worth of work as well

really wish they would just make it possible to recover the account using information used when setting it up, minus the email, so that it would be possible to self recover rather than wait days and days for a response.

I have a picture where you can see that my friend is shown online on my friends list.
Please look at the picture and block the account so my friend keeps his characters.
