I take it this is something to do graphics options or drivers? Happens in big WvW zerg brawls.

Many thanks.

Overheating issue? Driver issue?

I’d also check for hardware issues with the card (eg: is it seated correctly), and try a `-repair` in the gw2 client against local data file corruption.

Overheating seems unlikely – this usually affect stuff like the screen cache failing which cause screen corruption as a whole or the computer will just turn off/reboot instantly. It doesnt differentiate the main render view and 2D GUI… Especially not with an obvious smoothing shader effect applied…

I would do as above say and repair the game. I’d say something is corrupt.

Another question is of course which video card is used. If you’re not using one of the “three mains”, ie the budget, the midrange or the high end of a generation then a driver issue is pretty likely. Unfortunetly throughout the years I’ve had too many people say similar things to “well the GTX1060 is $20 more so I’ll buy this GTS1054XTZ Extreme instead, that’ll be awesome!”.

Usually, when players post screens like that, it’s a graphics driver, or less common but does happen, a hardware (graphics card) issue.

Of course, -repairing never hurts.

Good luck.
