Guild Wars 2

So I was downloading the latest patch, and of course at 98% I get the dreaded blue screen.

So I restart my computer and load gw2 up and is now saying repairing data archive and is now downloading a crap ton of files, I expect it to be done in about 3 hours. It is basically redownloading the whole game as the blue screen got my client.

There is probably nothing I can do now but it is a heads up for Anet if you guys can test ways around this so others will not have to redownload the entire client but just the latest patch.

It would help a lot if, should the BSoD reoccur, you record what the error says.

Similar thing just happened to me:
My game randomly crashed and gave me an unclickable (lagged) error window. I then ended GW2 process, ran launcher. Two windows opened – the launcher and some random file rapairing window with some load progress bar. That new window loaded up to like 10% and the main launcher window started downloading 200.000+ files, the whole game.

So I just decided to cancel the “fixing” and redownload/reinstall the game to a new location with a new downloader, maybe it will reduce the bugs I brought from the betas
