Hello,
I have a problem with the “Black Lion” ingame store:
The text for all items there is incredibly blurry and very hard to read. This bug only happens within the store, the rest of the game (graphics and text) is perfectly sharp as you can see on the screenshot. It seems to me that the store uses a different kind of renderer/engine(?) than the rest of the game.
How can this be fixed as it is extremly annoying and prevents me from using the store properly?

It’s the interface size. Reverting it to normal will solve the issue. This is specially annoying when you’re playing on small resolutions, like 1366×768, where the normal interface size is too big, and the small one bugs the Trading Post.

Oh, and you don’t need to restart the game. The changes apply immediatelly.

The store is kind of seperated from the rest of the game in that it uses an internal web browser to display the contents. It’s called awesomium (no joke), and it seems that browser has issues on your machine. I’m not an expert on this browser, but maybe a bit of research into awesomium and the issues people have with it might help.

It’s a bug when you have a certain thing set to minimum/lowest settings, but I can’t remember which setting it is _ Play around with the display settings. One of the values will change it so that you can actually read the text.

I see on your screenshot that you are using “interface size” = “small”.
Try reverting it to the default setting, restart the game and see if it helped.
If not, you can always change it back to “small” again.

Nope, morph´filter has nothing to do with it. Otherwise all text would be blurry.

As already mentioned, it´s a well known problem/bug when you use the small interface setting.
The only workaround for now is to set your interface to normal when you´re having your AH session, then go back to small.

I was having this issue as well.
I’m not sure if this was the solution, but I was messing around with my settings and turned vertical sync off, this is when the blurry text in the Black Lion interface happened. I turned it back on, logged out then back in and it seemed to clear it.
Now I’m no techie, but it worked for me.

in fact text is blurred in most programs, open live mail for example. try yourself if you have an ati card ^^

Morphological filtering was/is disabled. What helped is indeed changing the small interface size. Putting it back to normal solved the problem … well, I’d rather call it a workaround.
Interestingly, I searched for awesomium and found several reports of rendering and blurry text issues. Honestly, I think that browser is a piece of crap.

Anyway, thank you all for the help and as it seems all I can do is enlarge the interface while using the black lion shop and then switch back to the small one.
Hopefully Arenanet will reconsider their choice and choose a different browser – or exclude the interface setting from being applied to the browser as well.

I really like using the small interface and I wish that they would patch this issue for all users.

What I mean is to let there be a separate window options with it, to allow the text to be increased in its size..I like having a small UI settings, but hate that I can barely read the text in BLTC

Its a bug, i report it when game released (bug since release build). It happens every computer specs (no driver or OS issue). So use interface size minimum at “normal” it will fix your issue.

Same here. This issue is ingame since release(!). Too bad, because I (and many other ppl) would like to use the small interface :-/

I prefer having a smaller UI so I can enjoy the gorgeous landscapes they spent ages on..

Yeah, running at 1280 I´d also love to use the small UI, but I just stopped bothering with it.

There´s already enough aggravating bugs in this game without me purposefully adding yet another one to annoy myself.
