Hi, so I deleted a character of mine to get some space for another but before doing that I put all the gear that character had (which was the Braham’s set that I bought a while ago) in the bank. Now after deleting the character and trying to transmute it again to gear for another character of mine it wouldn’t let me. Is there a way to sort this out without having to destroy equipment whose looks I love and which are not obtainable any more?

Official answer: No. The skin is soulbound after you use it, and you should have taken steps before deleting the character. You can ask support. But keeep in midn their tools are limited here too assist.

kitten I will start thinking twice before spending my money to buy gem – items so easily lost forever.

Have you tried the trick of using a http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Transmutation_Crystal with a white item?

When an item is soulbound to a deleted character, nothing can be done with it save store it in the bank for nostalgia, or destroy it. It is best to heed the warnings on items that are, or will be, soulbound on acquisition or use.

I have tried that Jayne, the thing is you can only do it with the character that owns the soulbound
