Budget laptop suggestions needed.
That really depends on what u plan on doing in GW2.
If u want to do WvW, then the annswere is “no”.
If you only want to do PvE quests, Dungeon, small-medium scale Dynamic events, then the answere is “yes” …just.
It would be right at the top end of ur budget and wont do WvW very well at all but spec wise u would be looking at.
i5 4200m CPU
Nvidia 750m
8GB RAm
500gb HDD
1366×768 screen
The sweetspot for laptops for gaming is around £1000.
But for GW2, well no laptop CPU is really good enough, the best u can do for a reasonable price is a 4700MQ CPU.
Remember that even Desktop PC’s need their CPU’s overclocked to get tolerable FPS in WvW, so laptop CPU’s dont really have much chance in that regard since they cant OC and they Downclock themselves when more cores are in use.
EDIT:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-028-OE
Note though at that stock price it only has a single 64gb SSD, so storage will be a big problem unless u shell out another £60-70 for a HDD.

So somthing like the Lenozo Z500 wouldn’t be upto scratch for GW2 then?
I’m currently using my old MSI GT740 which runs fine if on low settings so thought anything above that would be good to go but as I said i’m not that knowledgeable about this kind of thing.
In what spec is the Z500 ? There are different configurations.

i7 2.2ghz
6G ram
Nividia gt 635m
Windows 8
Ok so both the 635m and the 3632Qm cpu are better than ur current GT740, asuming ur current GT740 has a 250m GPU and a 720Qm CPU.
So it ‘should’ run better than ur current laptop. So if ur happy wiht ur current laptop then the Lenevo Z500 shuld be ok.

Yeah thats whats in mine. Since the gaming side of things is just an ‘after thought’ I would imagine she would be quite happy with the performance I currently have.
I’m guessing there’s not that many prebuilt laptops like this out there for this price then?
Well all laptops are prebuilt, some places allow u to choose the spec…but yea ..bassicaly gaming laptops are alot more common from £1000 up, at £600 ur really really pushing it.
The one I linked is pritty much the best i could find but even that had a drawback, and that was virtual storage, being that it only had a 64gb SSD as standard without adding in a HDD for extra cost.
TBH the Lenevo Z500 isnt a gaming laptop by todays standards. WIth a 635m , its just a strong multimedia laptop. The gaming grade GPU’s dont start till ‘arguably’ the 660m/750m. However GW2 isnt particularly GPU heavy so it doesnt really matter as much.
