Guild Wars 2

Hi, my current computer is over 4 years old and I finally have the cash blow out of a new desktop computer I’m considering buying an x51 alien ware computer (links below) and was wondering which one of these could run GW2 smoothly on max settings (fingers crossed it’s the cheapest one).

If any of you have any other desktop computers you feel are a better choice feel free to tell me.

Alien wares are wastes of money. Buy anything else and it would be better(except Macs).

Build your own computer or get someone to do it for you is a much cheaper way of getting good performance.

Thanks for the reply, i really dont know how to build a computer and im just looking for a quick buy off the net or from PC world or something along those lines. If you or anybody else has any reccomendations (please link) to and desktops computers, please post.

Also can anybody evaluate the x51 alienware computers for me as im not tech savi at all.

I would really recommend buying the parts and having some one assemble it for you. Pre built computers are mostly made with cheap parts with poor customer service, im sure you can find someone to help you out.

My suggestion is go to your local computer shop and ask them to do it.

Just ask for an i5 cpu and a 7850/660 level gpu and 8 gb of ram and you should be fine.

Can’t really go wrong with this.

As said above, it might be a bit more hassle but find a small local PC shop and ask how much they would charge to assemble parts. PC world really are crap mate.
My build suggestion.
I5 3570k (k means it’s unlocked and can be overclocked faster)
Z77 motherboard, any of those are great and allow overclocking
7850 gpu
8-16gb RAM, 8 is all you need for gaming
DECENT power supply. Make sure its Bronze rated standard or higher. OCZ,XFX, are two good makes, though there are a few more. But really DO NOT skimp on the PSU mate. Shops and poor built PCs always put cheap budget ones in unless told otherwise to save money. This means in the future if you decided to add another gpu your PC wouldn’t handle it lol, and its needed for overclocking. PS id ask for a small OC to 4.2ghz.
That machine will be a beast for GW2 imo. Good luck
