CPU Fan going crazy when I play
Both AMD and Intel stock heatsinks can be noisy. You don’t state which CPU or what model, but even so, GW2 is very unforgiving on the CPU (and GPU if you set the settings high enough). Not surprised you get this in instances with lots of players, because it has to work hard under those conditions. Even if I set my graphics settings to low, my CPU is working at 60+%, I have an Core i5 6600k. (with aftermarket cooler though, so I avoid the noise).

Also, check for dust on your heatsink and fan, and clean if necessary.

It’s the normal behaviour, Gw2 uses a lot the cpu even with settings toned down. The only solution is to improve the aairflow or get an aftermarket cooler.
