Q:
Hi Guys, I’ve installed the mac client and the game works superb for me, with no problems — graphics and all… although i experience lag with PVP. That said, is it possible to move the mac data over to my windows section to see how it runs on windows without having to download the full game all over again. Thanks
The Guild Wars 2 that you see on your Mac is a pkg file. Inside it is the PC version, using that version will work on a PC.
Right click the mac version and "Show package contents.
Open the Contents folder
Open the resources folder
Open the transgaming folder
Open the c_drive folder
You will see the GW2 folder, copy this folder to your PC. That worked for me.
No guarantees

Can you do the same from PC to Mac? Thanks!
Yes, that is possible. Locate the gw2.dat file in the pc installation. It should be just there in the main Guild Wars 2 folder.
On the OSX side, follow the same steps as shown above to find the location of the file , and copy the .dat file over.

There is no way to “show Package Contents” on either computer I’m working on…
You go to your Applications folder (in OSX), right click (or option-click) on the Guild Wars icon, it’s the second entry from the top on the list that pops up.
