Can log in
You need to use your email to log in.
But if nothing works, your best bet is to talk to support. Top of the page.
As SandraSolace said, you need your email.
It’s not CJJ and it’s not CJJ.9861. it’s your email and your password, just like the forum.

Same issue i have, made a ticket … still waiting.
I submitted a ticket, got a response, reset my password. However, nothing changed. I still can’t hop onto GW2, I still can’t log into the game client, I am honestly wondering if I didn’t waste my money, because this is a right kick in the ****s.

And just to check, you are using email and password?
I am, Astral. No spelling errors, email and password. I’ve already contacted support once, I have no idea what’s going on, and I intend to wait to see if this problem finds an answer by observing the forums. sigh Such a hastle.
you can change your password here: https://account.guildwars2.com/account or by clicking My Account above.
Try that, give it 5 mins then try to log into the game client, make sure you are logging into the game client with your account email address and password. Your account email address is under your numbered name at the top of the forum: so for me its under Draygo.9473.

Maybe it’s a new password bug. I knew of one, and I have it now, where the game forgets the password even if it is set to auto remember at login. You can’t log into to he forum though till you get a new password.
The one where the game forgets the password may be tied into using iPads or other tablets.
I’ve done both of those things, Draygo, Astral. In fact, I gave it 5 whole hours. And, once again, I’m using email and password. Also, I have not tied a mobile authenticator to my account, so “tied into using iPads or other tablets” is out of the question already. It’s a right pain, because I don’t really know what it could be.
I just replied to Support’s email, telling them it’s not fixed yet. Hope they answer it.
The issue you’re reporting will require a bit of additional investigation.
I am escalating your ticket for further assistance. A member of the team will be in contact with you as soon as the issue has been fully reviewed.
That’s the reply I got after the third cry for help I sent. Sometimes I wonder if I’m not just beating my head against a brick wall.

I’m not talking about a authenticator, but rather some possible bug with iPad’s software. Where people are using an iPad to access the forum and the ‘remember passwords’ software of the iPad is messing up the password on the forum and this causes the login on the game to fail.
It’s not my theory, but something someone else has come up with so I can’t vouch for it. However I’m using an iPad to access the forum and I’m having password problems so it’s maybe a possibility.
When I contacted support they recommended deleting the local dat file and doing a repair.
This is the Emil they sent me:
Repairing the client:
“I would like for you to try repairing your Guild Wars 2 installation:
First,
Hold down the Windows button on the keyboard and hit the “R” key.
Paste in the following line: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2
Click “OK.”
Delete the local.dat file located here.
Next,
Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”
Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end. Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes -- Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair -- Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”
Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes. If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try Step 5 again.
Right-click “Guild Wars 2 Repair” and select “Run as Administrator.”
Allow the repair to run and once completed, right-click" “GW2.exe” or your Guild Wars 2 Shortcut and select “Run as Administrator.”
Once completed, please try starting Guild Wars 2 again. Please let us know the results of this test at your earliest convenience.
Double-clicking Guild Wars 2 Repair will begin the repair process. The game will launch when it is complete".
This did work for me for a few weeks, but now it’s started up again.
