This is probably going to sound absolutely insane to most that read it, but… I’ve decided to come back and give the game another shot, however I’d like to do so on a “clean” account.

I’d like to start with no achievement points, none of the “progression” associated with an account. I don’t care about the characters I have either, as obviously I didn’t progress too far (maybe 36 or so) last time.

So my question to Anet is, is there a way to totally wipe my account and start from scratch?

I am afraid not. The only real option for starting from scratch would be to purchase another account.

You can, however, delete everything and/or give it away. But, your AP will still be there.

Thanks for the reply… has this been answered officially somewhere? In an FAQ or anything? I searched but couldn’t find anything.

Well, they do have tools to restore an account, but only for accounts that are compromised, and only after Dec. 1, 2012. I don’t believe you would qualify, sorry.

You can also send me all of your gold if you want to start afresh.

You should also be able to burn through your other currencies with little effort at their respective vendors. That just leaves achievements (and unspendablely small amounts of other currencies) that can’t be reset.
