Since about 10:30 on Sunday night, I have not been able to gain acess to the login server(or any other gaming related anything). Now I know there are many solutions to this problem but none of them have actually worke, I have tried restarting the modem messed around with all the ports and re installed everything. I live in australia and my ISP is Optus and I just wanted to know if this is a problem for anyone else or if there is an actual solution to this problem because for the love of me I can’t get anything to work.

I am with you on this. Optus – Melbourne. I restarted the modem, flushed the dns, set Google as my DNS provider, restarted PC… even did a system restore for 2 days prior. Nothing. Did port forwarding, allowed UPnP to do it all for me. Nothing.

Ive submitted a ticket.

Hi My friends… yep.. I know the story.. Seems Optus is on it.. I can’t get to any online server really.. I think I do have some good news for you though. While looking for info on the ports GW2 uses, I found this little work around:
Make a short cut to Gw2.exe but add to the Tagest feild “/clientport 80”
To make that clearer, in my case its:
“C:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” /clientport 80
Port 80 is not the best to be connecting through, but I am getting through till they fix this mess….
