Hello, im trying to install guildwars 2 from disk, its gets to 5% and then stops?. why is this?.

but then the game is installed on my pc but i didnt use disk 2 and also it didnt get to 100% installation?

I think you install only main stuff from disk 1 (DVD). Then rest of game data will be automatically downloaded with client. I only needed code from box and game itself was downloaded. Can you play the game or is it even updating itself when you try to login?

yeah thats what i thought, but the thing is the files are being downloaded but my computer freezes and ive had to reset and then redownload everything again. this has happend twice now.

Game is sold with 2 DVD’s but and it’s previous version. Game has been updated so it will be downloaded from ANet server i think. I may be wrong too… maybe some wiser will help you with this matter.

Yes.
And remember put your administrator privilegs to GW2.exe. And also you could try shutting down Firewall (Norton, Kaspersky, MS Security Essential) at time you install the game.

i dont think its anything to do with firewalls because it only freezes when downloading the files.
