Guild Wars 2

I’ve been trying for a day and a half to get this set up on my comp. But every. single. time it stops anywhere between instantly and 25%ish. Either just straight up crashing or giving me error report.
I’ve tried literally everything I could find so far. renaming the file has no effect, nor does running the repair version, donwloading the ‘old’ installer just results in it updating and the same thing happening. I tried doing it on a clean boot, from safe mode, all anti virus off on and on….

I’m attaching the stuff it sends to the company about what happened. Unfortunately I’m not too tech savvy to get more than obvious things out of it.

The issue is the LavaSoft program(s) on your computer. Remove them to allow downloading without crashing.

I did though :/ that was definitely on my ‘did try’ list. Unless remnants were still around? I only used the uninstall option from the Control Panel.

Though I see the bit about web companion. If that wasn’t uninstalled in that go, I might scream

Your GW2 crash report states you still have LavasoftTcpService64.dll on your computer. This causes downloading issues.

You can Google how to remove all the LavaSoft programs and tidbits they leave behind. They are often hidden in Bing installations.

I’ve got a familliar problem with the game,
i’ve tried to download whole game via client from official page, but all the time when i run the launcher, it’s ending with an error/crash. Sometime i am able to download 300mb of the game before it crashes, sometimes only 1-3mb.

After restarting launcher, it continues to download the game, but not for long, so the progress is keep going but it’s annoying.

I’ve downloaded already almost 50% of the game, and I gave up. I can run the game, and play, but if there is something to download , the game crashes also so I am not able to finish download during playing the game.

This is what is causing the crash: HMIPCore64.dll

You will need to remove it, permanently or temporarily.

It helped me,
I can play but now, the game randomly freezes, sometimes i can play for 20 minutes, sometimes it freezes after 5 minutes, once i’ve played even 5h without incident,

I have noticed that other games freezes too.

I’ve tried to reinstall the game/drivers/ i did MEMTEST and RAM is ok.

Have no other idea… one more thing – the PC is still working after the game freezes, all i have to do when the game is freezed is simply press alt+crtl+del and use log out for windows, then log in (i dont have to restart whole PC)

One more thing is that GW 2 simply freezes but for example war thunder shows critical error etc or crash etc…

Is there any program to show logs ? and check them after crash like this ?
I would rather prefer to avoid formatting the system.

MEMTEST won’t necessary show if the RAM is failing or not. I had a customer last week that had two bad RAM sticks (yeah, two failed at once – weird) and Memtest showed no errors.

However, I could tap on the RAM and the system would freeze. Bad RAM is usually the culprit on program freezes (but not always).

Also, the crash you posted shows “My Privacy Tools SecureNet Service” caused the crash. I would start by removing that, then if it doesn’t work try removing a memory stick and/or swapping them around.
