Well you really need to prove to customer support that you own the account, before they can assist you. If you can’t convince them that you are the account owner, then that’s as far as things go.

If you’re posting from the account in question and were able to log into the forums because your browser saved the password you should be able to access the password details through your browsers options. I know you can with Firefox at least.

The other browsers can do that too.
But you can change the password using the “Account” information too. This feature is to be used carefully because there have been abuses with this feature. I know it was restricted afterwords, but I didn’t try to change it since then. So I don’t know about that. Maybe you will have to use support anyway.
