Guild Wars 2

So Guild Wars have worked to start for me a few times ever now and then but most of the time i get an instant crash at the initial screen.

Speccs are:
Amd Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition @4.1Ghz
Asus RoG Crosshair IV Formula
8Gig 1333 Mhz Dominator
2x 7970 in Crossfire (have tried disabled it but still it wont start) both are at 1070-1500
Crucial M4 64gb
2st WD Caviar Black 1TB in Raid 0
3x Benq G2420HDB

Good catch Zelta, and I’d tend to agree – at least that is a good starting point, anyways.

Run a windows search for RTSSHooks.dll, identify the application using said DLL, and uninstall/disable/block it from running. Reboot, and try again.

Report back so we will know if this helped or not – could be useful for other people having issues starting the game.

You actually just fixed you own problem, if you noticed the error report indicated a particular program is causing the problem, in this case, your RTSHOOK is probably injecting something into GW2.exe, you might want to disable/uninstall it.

Every now and then, the reason appeared to be from MSI Afterburner, Thank you for your help

I have a possible incoming fix for this issue. Going to do extensive testing tonight before I post it on the forums, though.
