I have tried twice now tonight to buy gems via the ingame market, and twice I have gotten the same error, when I enter the details for Paypal and hit submit, it pops up this message saying.

Unfortunately there was an error with the payment provider. Please try again later. If this error still persists please contact customer care.

I got this same message about a week ago yet the payment still went threw and I got the gems ingame, but tonight it doesn’t not appear to want to work at all, is this a problem on Anets end or PayPal’s end?

You should probably check into this though, as someone may end up spending a lot more than planned seeing as it tells them there was an error, yet payment still goes thru, this could lead to ppl being charged twice.

This also happened to me where the webpage stated that the transaction did not go through, so I tried again. Got the same message that the transaction did not complete. After awhile both transactions complete with 2 charges. But i got all the gems for both charges.

I get this same message every time I use paypal now. The first time I kept trying and ended up with 4000 gems hours later! Support arranged these all to be refunded.

But now it seems my only options are to pay via paypal and wait hours for my gems or use my credit card – which I dont want to do.

I hoped this was a blip that would be fixed buts its been going on for a months. Does anyone know what may be causing it?

Im actually surprised this hasn’t been addressed as the bug is still there, a friend the other day ended up being charged $150 for gems as the transactions all went threw, even though it says they have failed and to contact support,

Anet this needs to be acknowledged and addressed, else people will end up spending way more than they might have/need to.

still happening for me. I get the error message and get my gems about an hour later.
