Cannot Log In, Several Different Error Messages

I was doing an explorable dungeon with a friend and a few randoms about 30 min ago, when all of a sudden the game gives me an error message and closes.
Afterwards, I try to get back in, and I’m met with several different error messages at different stages of the login.

First, at the launcher when trying to “Log In”, I get;
“Guild Wars 2 has encountered an error
The game client was unable to connect to the log-in server. Please restart your client and try again. etc."
At the bottom right of the error message it reads: “Error Code: 58:11:5:504”

Now, after a few of those, I get in to character select screen. I double click my character and get the loading screen for a few sec, after which I get smacked in the face with a new error;
“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. etc.”
The error code is: “Code=19:9:18:1614:101”

After trying several times, getting blocked by the first 2 errors, I finally get back in, and I’ve been booted out of the dungeon and have the window for joining my group in the dungeon with the “Enter Explorable blahblah” button there.
I press the “Enter Explorable” button, the loading screen starts, and a few seconds later, I get yet another error message;
“Network error. The inability to connect to Guild Wars 2 may be caused by internet routing issues or a server network failure. etc”
This time the error code is: “Code=5:11:3:157:101”

Now, I’ve tried the usual to resolve errors like this, such as cussing loudly at my computer, as well as restarting it, but nothing seems to work, and I’m still unable to play.
Any help with resolving this would be appreciated.

Got the same problem man, in the same boat as you. My brother plays on the same server as I and connected to the same router as me so it’s definately not the router that is the problem. pleaseeee FIX

Where are you from? im from Norway and ive been having issues today connecting to streams and a coupple of other games and gw2 for some reason. got a feeling its a dns issue so going to try a different one.
Edit. So its not dns :P tried 2 other dns did not work.

Additionally, I would like to collect an expanded traceroute from you to take a look at your connection. To provide this report, please follow the steps below.
1. Click “Start.”
2. Type in “cmd” into the “Search files and folders” bar but do not hit enter.
3. Your Start menu should now show the program cmd.exe.
4. Right-click on this program and select “Run as Administrator.”
5. Highlight and copy this: “pathping -w 500 -q 50 -4 206.127.158.1 -n > C:\pingpath.txt” (Without the quotes)
6. Right-click in the DOS window and select “paste” and hit enter.
This command will take about 2-3 minutes to complete. Once completed (the prompt will return to normal), the test results will be saved to your C:\ drive in a file called “Pingpath.txt.”
Once you have these files, please attach them to your reply.

Most of Switzerland had/has this error for the past 3 days as well – so looks like the problem is expanding.

BTW, probably worth mentioning that after the first time the problem occurred last night I went and watched a movie, and when I came back I could play for a couple of hours or so, and then I got the same problem again all of a sudden.

Managed to get on today, but when I try to do sPvP I get horrible lag spikes.
Did a new pingpath, since it’s probably not a coincidence that I’m having horrible lag spikes today, after having those connection problems last night.
Some help with this would be appreciated.

While I am in the game i either go into an out of an instance or to another area and I either get Code=19:9:18:1614:101 or Code=42:5:7:1008:101. I also get these code selecting my toons. While trying to long on i get the Code=42:5:7:1008:101. My Game Advisor report is attached.

If I try to get into Lions Arch, my client disconnects with same Error message. I can re-log back into HotM, but once I try to hit LA, it a DC. … You better put my money to good use and fix this lol

Actually, not being able to log into the game is progress. They probably took the login server down completely to address the issue.

I encountered error code 42:5:7:1008:101 while boarding the ship from Southsun Cove (Point Lion) to Lion’s Arch. Build 16100, Anvil Rock server, Lv. 80 Human Necromancer.
For a time I was able to log in and the loading screen for Lion’s Arch would appear, followed shortly by the error message. On one attempt I was bounced from the Lion’s Arch loading screen to the Southsun Cove loading screen, again followed by the error message.
After several attempts, I’m now no longer able to log in at all and receive error code 42:4:7:610.

I am able to get back in just now. Maybe coz I was trying to leave Lion’s Arch for Queensdale. But my purchases from TP are still missing

I got this today: code=7:11:3:189:111
And after uninstalling Norton Security and restarting the pc, I still got it… Now it has stopped, but instead I get this: code:19:9:18:1614:101

Hi SgtSarcasm – Thanks for the reports. Your pathping looks pretty good overall, just some minimal packet loss. And so I would like to rule out the possibility that there is another program interfering with the game connection. To do this, we use a Windows command called “MSCONFIG.”
Please note, this command will not uninstall any applications from your computer. All MSCONFIG does is prevent these applications from automatically starting when Windows boots up.
To do this:
1. Press and hold the Windows key and then hit the R key. This should bring up the Run dialog box.
2. Type “MSCONFIG” without the quotes, and click “OK.” This should open the System Configuration Utility.
3. Click on the “Services” tab and check the “Hide All Microsoft Services” check box near the bottom, then click the “Disable All” button. (You MUST click “Hide all Microsoft Services”)
4. Next go to the “Startup” tab and click the “Disable All” button.
5. Once these items are all disabled, click the “OK” button and you will get a prompt to restart your computer. Please restart your computer.
6. Once you return to Windows, please try connecting to the game again.
To reverse these settings, simply run MSCONFIG again and click “Normal Startup” on the first window labeled “General.”
Note: If you need a specific application to run with Windows but still want to use MSCONFIG, just follow the above instructions and on step 4, re-check any application you feel needs to start with Windows. Examples would be wireless connection software, mouse or keyboard applications or even security applications. Please note that security applications can often be a contributing factor to such issues. If you haven’t done so already, please also disable any Anti-virus, Firewall or other security applications for testing purposes. While we do not recommend running your machine without a security application, should disabling the software help resolve your issue we can reinstall it and work to configure the application so it doesn’t cause this issue.

Bumping because it’s affecting me too and has been for days. Making WvW a real pain in the you-know-what.
I was wondering if we could get some acknowledgement regarding whether or not this is a systematic issue? I’ve been rummaging through the forums and other sites for a few days now, and it seems that a lot of folks have this problem. Would be kinda blown away if it was all on their end.

bumping this too… didnt have this problem before, been having this for 2 days now.. if ever i go to wvw it always get stuck up at the loading screen T___T guild chat is like 1 year delayed and also its not my connection or my pc. i get like 500 kbps patching the client again.
