Thanks Ashley, but after leaving it for a while, I can not successfully install the game. It’s just a massive fluffing download.
Same things happens all the day when i tried to install the game to my notebook. And also the same when i patched my PC client today. To patch the 56 MB it took about 10 minutes with 60Mbit network.
Last night I started to see weird latencies in Game. I would log in and after 2-3 mins nothing would work. But I could see other players talking and moving around normally. I could not /map chat or use any skills. My other games (firefall) and Netflix were working normally.
I bet this has to do with your download issues, Esp if they are having Transport issues again (DoS attacks)

Exactly the same issue and turning off the firewall makes no difference, nor whether running it as administrator or not. It starts downloading then the speed shown drops steadily to nothing until with 1 or 2% completed it says there’s a connection error, retrying. The cycle then repeats itself, over and over.
Exact same problem over here same error its happened after last night’s patch and since i could play properly for the past year i dont think it has anything to do with my ports or fire wall i have however sent a ticket. This seems to be on Anets side.
