Cannot create a character.

When you get to step 10/10 and click “next”, it loads for some minutes an gives you an error.

Can you fix it please.

it worked with another class but not with memser, how is that?

I have the same problem, when trying to create a Necromancer. Also tried with a Thief, get the same problem.

I am able to login on my old character. And haven’t changed anything regarding my internet connection.

Having the same issue. Not sure if it’s class related cause I can’t create anything.

Same issue – error claims I cant access login server – right at the point you click next after choosing a name.

Makes no difference with Prof / Race / Sex / Name.

I can still access my old characters.

Common problem ATM, me and a fair few others got the same thing happening.
I think its a problem with their servers when the check is carried out for new characters IE name check etc the server that deals with this has died..

Same issue creating a Thief, says game can’t gain access to login server

Just got the game, first experience of GW ever and I can’t create a char. I’ve checked everything my end… its unlikely to be me.

Not quite sure what im supposed to do now?

Im not even able to login again…and i was also haveing the same problem not being able to create a new character. I was playing earlier this morning with no problems…

Looking increasingly likely its the log in servers that are misbehaving again…

Getting alittle fed up with this. Only get small time window to play, when wife is at work, and just lately its always the same thing. Unable to login!

Im getting the error message “Transaction in progress please try again later” What on earth does that mean?!

Works for me too now magically, good to know it wasn’t my end after all. Heh, error codes.

“Max character limit reached. Please delete an existing character to create a new one. (code=43:6:6:402:101)”

Getting this error when i do infact have a character slot available. This problem has come up now after having the same issues as the above posters where i received error code:42:22:2:108:101 on the final stage of character completion.

Sometimes it tells me the name of the character is already taken which it didnt do on one of the failed attempts.

ah quick update, after another log out and back in my character is suddenly in my list.

I have started to get this problem tonight. Have tried several times to create a character but keep getting error (code=42:22:2:108:101). I can still log onto the other character that I created earlier, any fix for this?

Aye, there are a few posts about it. Can’t create my first character…fun

Tried to set home as sea of sorrows, it instead gave me some randomkitten server in europe and then I couldn’t create my character. Hope it doesn’t cost me to change that.

Come on anet, hurry up and fix this.

The same thing happened to me. It’s the first time im playing GuildWars2 (just bought it in the retail store today) and as I’m about to create my character e get this (code=42:22:2:108:101). It´s been 3 hours and I haven’t been able to create a single character to play the game. It’s not funny anymore.
