Guild Wars 2

Hi,

For the past two days I am getting a code 1083:5:7:1595:101.

Pretty sure its not on my end. I can still play other games but just guild wars 2 does not let me log in. I actually bought HoT then right after I purchased it I get that code…

I can log in to character screen but can’t play the game.

After a new build last night i could not zone in to game. I can log in fine and get to character screen but get the check my internet connection message, which my internet (not the best) but is working. I can load up world of warcraft and play just fine.

Same here. Was in EOTM last night when the build kicked me off… haven’t been able to log in since. Any news on this?

I got stuck at the loading screen for 15mins when entering Knut Whitebear’s Loft. After I closed the game I couldn’t log into any of my characters after that. Also a network error 1083:5:7:1595:101

So get this… I had an extra character slot, used it to create a new character, and I was able to log in! So Immediately after it loaded, I exited to switch characters and it let me in. Try that and see if it works!

Just made a new character and it let me into the game. Must be something to do with Revenant.

Same problem here, can’t get into the game on any of my characters.

We, my spouse and I, both get the same error when trying to enter the game from the character screen. It access the loading screen artwork and hang there until it gives the error. Been happening for the last 24 hrs.

I was getting this exact same error. When I got to the character selection screen I changed my graphics option from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen and it worked. I am now in the game. From within the game I changed it back to windowed fullscreen and it seems to be working fine so far…hope this helps you guys!

UPDATE: two hours later it kicked me out and my trick didn’t work again… So I guess I was just deluding myself.

I was getting the exact same errors and this fixed it for me. So it has something to do with being fullscreen i guess?

I was having the same problems earlier. I don’t know if Windows 10 overwrote one of the graphics driver files but the graphics card said that the version was out of date even though it was the most up to date driver. I reinstalled my AMD graphics drivers (I’m not sure what they have to do with the network connection) and since then I’ve not had a problem.

I play in windowed mode. got kicked out with the same error msg and several relogs
last night and this morning gave the same error msg. so I resized the window 1/2 inch and I can now login. didn’t reinstall anything. problem appeared after the last update.

I cant log in – error 1083

i can get to the character select screen but not to the game – Friday October 30th 9:34 am central usa time

Here’s what worked for me,

Open a command line window by typing cmd in the Search Windows box (win10) or Run box (earlier windows)

Right click on it and select Run as Administrator

Type this command and hit enter: ipconfig /flushdns

Close the cmd window

Sill can’t log in and it’s been days. Same exact error.

Flushing the dns did not help.

Can’t log in and the launcher isn’t doing anything either. My network is functioning perfectly, so I don’t get why the game client is doing this to me?!

I haven’t been able to play for a week or so now, but having read this thread it reminded me that several days ago having tried to play then been kicked out I noticed my Firefox browsers had for some unknown reason started to open in Full Screen mode with no menu bars.

Presumably there is some really poor game coding if external programmes are affected, users PCs are being shut down or kicked to BIOS screens?

Oh … and it is no good Anet trying to blame 3rd party s/w from interfering with their game, particularly as the evidence points to it being completely the other way around!

I got the same error message resetting my cable modem cleared it for me.
