Cannot play now ???
Is this cable with a static ip address or dsl that could switch when it aquires a new lease from the isp? Did you tell it to save the new ip address (from the email link)? Also, does the news feed load on the left side (while the play button is grey)?
If it’s greyed out, it means you aren’t authenticated typically. This will happen constantly (or more often) if your ISP uses dynamic ip address for end users. Also, I’ve noted a recent problem with receiving my authentication emails, they are taking up to 55 mins to get in my mailbox.
I just bought a new router to use with my gigabit modem, that uses a different ip address than a non gigabit Internet connection, so I had to re-authenticate 3 computers to my new ip address and 2 times, it took me nearly an hour to actually be able to authenticate… But since my ISP uses static ip addresses for us end-users, I just made sure to tick the box and allow.
Sorry this is long, but I hope this helps. Please write back and let me know how it went.
(I waited so long for the email, my connection to the game timed out and sent a second one when I tried again, it took an additional 15 mins after sending the 2nd one just to get the first… Hence 2 times for one account)

I have a static IP address, the news feed is not running, I did when I first tried to login get the authentication mail which i replied to straight away by following the given link where it then told me my machine was OK and I ticked the box to remember it, this was several hours ago now.
And you are still unable to play?
Check this link:

Error code 7.x has some ports to make sure are opened on your new router. I personally use QoS and set up those 4 ports.
If checking router settings and making sure there are no restrictions on it or firewalls set up (sometimes new routers default to have a firewall active), you may need to call your ISP and ask if they block ports or limit traffic in anyway.
Hope that helps in some way. Let me know
Edit: if you have a separate modem for your new ISP, check the settings there also.
Its letting me log in now, but…….
The client is still still slow to show the log in area in the left and after selecting PLAY the game is slow to set itself up.
Give it a few plays, sometimes it’s laggy the first few starts and just after an update or crash (mine always is).
What seems to have fixed your problem?
If you’re still having lagginess, let me know with what and maybe I can help there also. No guarantees ;p
Thank you very much, I do not know what fixed it, my ISP are aware of my online games issues now and because it is a new connection they want to give it a few days to settle down, if things ares still the same they are going to investigate my issues.
Glad to help and also glad you have your ISP watching the issue with you now.
I just read a sticky in the tech support forum about error code 7 (connection issue code) and the dev said to submit a ticket with specific details. Maybe have a pop over there and see if anything matches your issues, this may not be a mac only specific issue. At the very least, give it time with your ISP and if they can’t resolve, have a go at a ticket and give as much detail as possible.
Good luck friend.
