Q:

I have been attempting to uninstall Guild Wars 2 via the control panel. When I do I receive “A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run.” message. The crash report is attached.
I have successfully run the repair process and the crash continues to occur.

Any ideas?

You can just delete the Guild Wars 2 folder and all files within to uninstall.

Or try running as administrator.

Good luck.

You could also try creating a short cut of GW2 client. Right click and open properties. In the target line add A space then type -uninstall. Apply then run shortcut.
But it seems theirs an issue with windows and that may need repair.

On 64-bit, you need to uninstall using the 32-bit exe:

Gw2.exe -uninstall -32

You don’t need to use the control panel, just locate the GW2 folder on your HDD and right click and delete it, the entire game is located within the folder, and this will remove if from your system,

You may need to manually remove any shortcuts you have for it.

I just tried this and it works.
