I am wishing to change the display name that shows up, which is followed by the .#### (. plus four digits). Mine is the one to the left here “synjp.5320”. I thought I had to provide my character name from the last GW. I do not wish to have this name now associated with this version, but did not realize it would be at the time I signed up.

Q1: Can I change it now? Can support change for me (reset)? I will take any name.
Q2: Or, can I hide it from view so, no one can see it, even people I am playing with?

Sent request to support and got directions on how to reset my password. Did not answer my actual question.

My wife and I got ours changed with Tickets into Support as they were our Real Life Names and that was a security issue.

They’ve said many times and its listed in the Official FAQ & Wiki that changing our own Display Names would be coming in the future.

At this time though filing a Support request and praying you get a helpful GM who changes it for you is all you can hope/pray for. (Several other guild mates got theirs changed as well.)

Looking to get my name changed aswell, my friend helped me setup my account using his name saying I can change it later. I can’t now sadly, can I get a simple name change please?

Needing the same for personal/security reasons. Hope the option to change it comes soon.
