Your account was hacked/is compromised.
There is nothing that can happen in game that can remove levels, explored areas of the map, pets from my wallet, bank items, held items, and crafting levels. I am actually wearing the level specific items I crafted at level 30. It was like the character was lost and reloaded from an old tape.
Send in a support ticket to find out. What Healix said it most likely the correct answer, but the forums won’t know specifics for your account.

Your best course of action is to make a service request to Customer Service and ask for an account investigation. Be sure to include all the relevant dates (last date you played and the date you resumed playing) and specific character information you believe to be incorrect. Be sure to give them as much specific character data (such as level or gear changes) as you can. This will help them research the issue. The CS reps can review the logs for your account/character and then help you figure out exactly what happened.
