Guild Wars 2

Hello there

After i reinstalled windows and went into the server list. Nothing indicated that my character was there. Either there aint a way to see which servers there are characters on. Or it totally disappeared.
When i try and click on other servers it want seems to want crystals to transfer.
But all in all, i would just love to be able to play my character i played on before i reinstalled windows.
Hopefully someone can help me.

Just a couple bits of info for you. All characters you make are on the same server. Your home server. When you transfer servers it moves all your characters to that new server. Now luckily for you since it is asking for gems to transfer it means you have characters on the account but you can’t see them. If you had no characters it would let you transfer for free.

Now when you reinstalled gw2 to you let it completely download or did you just log in as soon as it was playable. If you have a slow internet it may just be in the process of downloading the models for the first time.

Also while you are with support you could ask them to fix your display name.

Think i reached around lvl15-19 with my necromancer yesterday before i reinstalled windows. But tho it should have deleted everything it dident. So Guild wars 2 was stil installed. Began playing guild wars 2 for like 2-3 days ago. Constantly bin having issues with the launcher crashing tho i tried to repair it. So never had a fully downloaded guild wars 2. But is it while being in the game i have to take contact with a gm?

Since it dident show a character on any of the servers i clicked one hoping it would show up. A bit naive but it just wanted me to make another character instead of not even after that it showed up.

Cant seem to figure out where to upload the screen shot.

You can only create character on one server, and as soon as you have at least 1 char
you will always see your list of chars after login.

So my guess is, could it be you have more than 1 account, and you just logged in
with the wrong one, cause the login-name field was empty after your reinstall ?

I started making a free account. But after a bit time i bought the game and registered the cd key. At that point it dident seem to have registered that i’ve activated it. Tho it seems to be activated now.
But about having another account, i doubt it unless its possible to have more accounts on the same email.

At the top there is a link to support and then on that page in the top right is a link “submit a request”. Use that to file a ticket to get into contact with support.

Did you reinstalled windows without formatting the hard drive?
