Basically i decided to just get a new setup, been needing one and just been putting it off, i’m going to start putting money aside to buy one and was just looking at some options, this web sight offers pretty kickass prices, and most of the stuff here seems legit, so check this out, make any changes if you want, help a fellow GW member out

For laptops I would recommend : Asus, MSI and Sager brands.

I would stay away from Asus because of the throttling problems on every single gaming notebook they have. MSI and Sager/Clevo are both good choices.

GW2 favours single-threaded performance, which you won’t be finding in a laptop. Don’t expect any high numbers in WvW or hubs.

Let me be the first to say that if you’re getting a new “setup,” a laptop is not your best option. Build yourself a gaming desktop. Not only will you be able to UPGRADE it, but you will also spend about half (or less) of what you’d spend on a comparable laptop.

If you must buy a laptop, regardless of people’s opinions, they’re all pretty much the same at the end of the day. The same specs will get you the same performance almost across the board.

Make sure if you get a laptop that you google “disable parked cores” and disable any parked cores that your laptop might have.

Great laptop, but you do realize it starts at THREE TIMES the cost of the one he’s looking at, right?

You could also build a similar gaming desktop for a fraction of either of them…

Yeah it looks awesome. Yah its 3x the price of a same spec bulky, slugish, ugly laptop.

People buy laptops for convenience. No one likes to carry around a big heavy brick let alone a whole desktop setup.

I would NEVER buy a gaming laptop for it’s looks. You end up spending a buttload more money for no benefit whatsoever once you start the game.

And that smaller package isn’t even close to worth the premium they’re charging for it. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html Look at the horrific ratings the 660M and 555M get. Why would you buy a laptop that gives you performance that desktop cards were giving 3-5 years ago? That’s…sickening.

I like it not only for its looks but how light it is. Weight matters a lot to people who uses their PCs not only for gaming but for work as well. They tend to bring their laptops everywhere. Trying that on a traditional gaming laptop or desktop would be a pain.

i can see what you are trying to say and i agree, but i’m only going to be using this for gaming and such, and the mobility is if i go somewhere outta state or something, i wouldn’t mind the bulkiness actually i promote it so it can fit more and have more ventilation, i’m not going to go to a coffee shop or a park…plus, it’s not…THAT ugly…

I would stay away from Alienware or Razer gaming laptops while they look good and such they are way overpriced that you can find similar spec laptops at a lower price.
