My game client crashed suddenly during today’s update, then when I restart the client it was stucked at Downloading 0kb (0kb/sec). I doubt it was the internet problem since other things work fine. And I have tried to repair the game client with the offical website instruction but it was appeared with the same thing.
Is there anyway to fix the problem without re-downloading the entire whole game?

Update: I have tried the method of using cmd to reset. But it didn’t work either. Then I finally decided to delete the game, but when I did so the client just crashed. So I can’t even delet the game in a proper way. Any solution to that?

Hi Licht Vester,

Try this:

Right mouse click on your Guild Wars 2 shortcut and drag it to an empty area of your desktop;
Choose <Copy here>;

You now have a second shortcut to start GW2.

Right mouse click on the new shortcut;
Choose <Rename>;
Edit the name of the shortcut to GW2 Repair (or whatever you choose);
Left click on the desktop; (to save the new name)
Right click on the new shortcut, again;
Choose <Properties>;
Edit the Target field to add the command line switches -verify -image ;
Left click on <OK>; (to save this change).

Now double left click your new GW2 Repair icon.

Hopefully you will see the Arenanet download screen twice, then an archive repair will start. If so, please be patient, as the repair can take a long time.
(see attached screenshot).

Please let me know whether or not this works for you

Best wishes,
Pookie

Hey! I have the same problem. I can’t even shut it down wihtout shutting down my computer which is pretty annoying. I tried to repair the client but I never got to the repairing bit because the client is stuck.

OP, did you find a solution?
