Guild Wars 2

My client will download 10340 KB every time I run it. It only takes 10 seconds at most, so it’s mostly just an annoyance. This isn’t a patch download, where you get the red progress bar, but one of those downloads you see right when the launcher runs, before you even get to the log in screen. Is there any way I can get it to stop? I’m hesitant to reinstall since it takes so long to download everything.

try deleting your local.dat file and check folder permissions.

This happened to me too. I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer and now i’m trying to install gw2 again and it’s not working. going to 10340 kb and just closes and nothing happens. All that changes is I have this .dat file which i delete, re download the client and the same thing happens
