Client hangs during update

This issue is preventing me from updating the client to the newest release. Basically the game updates for a short while and then hangs. Im unable to close the updater. The updater splash window is covered with a black box when this happens. Is this a known Issue. Ive never had a problem with updating or playing the game since beta. How do I workaround this.

Attached a screenshot what the hang looks like.
Ive also tried repair option which did not help.

Hey there,

Do you have any security software running by chance and are your video card drivers updated? This would be the first thing that I would look into in narrowing down the cause of this issue.
