Guild Wars 2

Hi,
I just got a new pc and I tried to reinstall the game.
Patching was rather smooth till it reaches 91% and the progress simply just stuck there with no error or whatsoever.

also, when i tried to log in, the launcher will keep rotating between “connection error detected, retrying” as well as the page where they ask me to key in my authentication code.

And I am able to enter the game and start playing despite the patch wasn’t completed.

Try using ArenaNet’s asset server:

Gw2.exe -assetsrv 64.25.41.2

If that fails, something is interfering with your connection and you will likely need to use a VPN. You can use the -log option (Gw2.exe -log) to see what it’s doing, which saves to %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Gw2.log.

I just find it confusing, the patch from 1% to 90% was very quick and smooth until it reaches 91%..
