Colors look a little 'washed out'?
Not sure if you can do this on ur laptop but.
Check nvidia control panel ..go to Adjust desktop color scheme.
Set Digital color format
Change it from RGB to YCbCr444
I do this and find that colors are much more ‘solid’ ..not washed out ..blacks are black ..whites are white ..etc.
Oh and YES it does affect games not just your desktop.
if that doesnt work .try adjusting the digital color vibrance and/or contrast.

It has happened to me before occassionally, but only during the dolyak escort event in Gendarran (?).

The Great AL, i think you may want to read about using SweetFx for this

Unfortunately it’s nothing to do with that. The game sometimes randomly turns the whole world unsaturated, even SweetFX won’t help.

Uhm,actually..SweetFX Does help with that since you can up the limit of saturation so much that it looks like a cartoon. And there’s more settings then saturation alone, with vibrance, tonemap etc you can do Everything with the colours in gw2.

True, but by default the majority of users aren’t gonna fiddle with the config file. Also the dull colours only happen rarely and randomly. I do run SweetFX though, but not for any other reason than MSAA and a little more vibrancy and white balance.

Some people have a problem with it,some people dont care or dont even notice it at all.But i think you’re absolutely right though, its the main reason im actually using sweetfx in the first place, and it did help me with the problem alot.I really enjoy the new look and increased details so it does the job for me.But again youre also right about not many people want to fiddle with sweetfx.Don’t think arena is gonna something about it though, unless their gonna implement directx11 at any time..if ever, and do more with the engine gw2 is using.
