Guild Wars 2

This only happens on GW2.

I’ll be playing then all of a sudden I’ll hear this horrible, loud, screeching and garbled static accompanied by the game and my computer freezing. It doesn’t happen too often but often enough to be bothersome.

Also, don’t know if it’s related but it’s also just as annoying: I’ll randomly hear a pop, thump, or crack of varying volume (regardless of my game’s settings) every now and then. My friends get this too.

How long do you play before you hear the sound and your computer freezes? This happened to my Win 7 PC when playing for most of the day and being on skype one weekend. I believe that time it was simply an issue with overheating because it was crazy hot outside and was online for a large amount of time.

On my Mac Laptop I get the random pop noise instead of sound effect. I think it is a glitch in the programming/sound file not working correctly.
