Constantly getting this while trying to update my wife’s game. Haven’t been able to find any solutions on this. Anyone know anything about this or having the same issues?

I am having the same issue, the patch is very slow.. between 10-30kb/s and stops at around 20% and says connection error. My internet is 100% fine and there are no connection issues what so ever, all of my other games are updating fine and I can download at full speed on other things. GW2 seems to be the only one with really slow patching/connection issues.

Ok, for anyone having issues like this that I had, disable your antivirus just long enough to allow the patch to go through. Avast has an option to shut off for 10 min, I selected that and patch went through no problems at all. Hope this helps others.

I haven’t had this issue with Avast, but I only use the file shield – not the network or internet shields (or any others).

I’m having the same problem and so is my friend. Stopping avast did not work for neither of us. Thank you for the tip though.

My firend just changed my DNS network settings to use Google (IP’s are 8.8.8.8. , 8.8.4.4.) and it worked. Hope it does the job for you too.

Ever since last night, I have had the very same error. I can’t log in, at all. My launcher doesn’t even reach the part where you enter your Email or password. Nothing.

Same here. 32-file patch gets to about 5mb then fails every time saying “connection error; retrying”. I’m in NA (midwest), do not have AVG or antivirus, tried disabling the firewall and background Microsoft operations, tried setting DNS to Google 8.8.8.8, alternate 8.8.4.4, rebooting the modem and PC, tried changing compatibility settings, still no luck. Even at 5mb it says 0% downloaded, 32 files remaining. Bout to try spotflux to see if using their VPN will help. I just want to patch so I can play again!!!

EDIT patched and in-game now!!!
