Q:
Connection Error(s) detected. Retrying...
A:
I fixed this. I had to download the patcher again from GW2 website. Reinstall into a new directory, but to save downloading the whole 18GB I copied the old .DAT file into the new directory (Tried just copying the new launcher over the old launcher and it still didn’ work)

I have the same issue – it hangs on a “Downloading at 0kb” message then gives a red error saying “Connection issues, retrying”. I haven’t played for a few months and wanted to get up todate with downloads to play again.
Yes I have checked the firewall is set to accept Guildwars Client
Yes I am running in administrator mode.
I had this exact problem and I fixed it by logging in to the website, and then restarting the launcher.

After additional access problems in trying to log back into the website as Box Face suggested, I finally got in and restarted the launcher which this time worked. Not sure if it ‘fixed itself’ or there was some behind-the-scenes tech support on my account. Either way, I’m in and thanks!
I’ve been having this same problem recently. Like what NutmegSupreme said, the launcher somehow “fixes itself” after a dozen or so restarts. No idea what’s going on as this is somehow a randomly occurring error.
Having same problems. I’ll just keep restarting the launcher until it fixes itself and if it doesn’t I’ll do what Elthurien said.
So ok I was making a copy of the gw.data then decided to play a league game. After the game the game just ran fine and I got in and deleted the extra copy of the gw.data
I think it just needs time or something else

Just started having this issue tonight. Been working fine up until today so what gives? Its not something on my machine because nothing has changed, no updates etc run without my approval. Haven’t looked for the patcher as yet as per Elthurien’s suggestion but I will need to find it and try. Logged on to the forum fine but that made no difference. Something has to be happening at the server end?
