What should do?

I’m having this connection error today as well… 2pm central time.

I am also having this error!

This error is affecting me too. It seems to be affecting a very small amount of people from the looks of the forums.

Yeah, I’m also dealing with the connection error aswell on my launcher.

I even tried restart my PC and run as administrator, but not fixed. Have already waited almost 5 hours and still no fix for this update. Great job, Anet once again.

I am having this problem too

Possibly the same issues, been playing all day long without issue. Loading in after the update i cant play in WvW for more than 5 minutes without a DC. Not sure if this is just by coincidence, but my ping is going through the roof in my resource manager, every other game is fine.

Meerr.. me too. This is the first time it has ever happened on the laptop I use. I could barely stay on.

I am getting this error today as well.

Ok, phone call to my service provider shows no issues, pinged from UK to USA is fine. Quick jump on planetside 2, arguably more network intensive, perfectly fine…

What did you break this time Anet =P.

Same …and has been like this since about 1pm cst.

This is really getting irritating.. I have never had a problem with this laptop until this patch… so I know that it isn’t on my end. >.<

Same issue here..
It loaded some of the patch but never went to the main patch download screen and now its constantly error retrying..
very annoying

I cant seem to find anything posted on anything by anet about this issue either.. who knows if its even being fixed

My game is been down almost 17 hours and still no fix for it? Cmon Anet! >:(

Got my game fixed now. Updating normally. I haven’t updated and used my AV-programmer for while so it fixed it.

Corrected mine. Apparently there is some dependence on the .Net Framework.

So…..
1. updated/reinstall your MS .Net Framework (mine is at 4.0)
2. restart your computer
3. upon restart, make sure your .Net framework loads properly. If you get an error pop-up, click “continue”…do NOT stop the framework from loading. There are plenty of sites/info online to tell you how to find/detect what version of the framework you are running.

all works fine for me now

Just got this issue. I got the patch tonight, did Mad King Says, got disconnected. Reconnected the internet, tried to login, but got disconnected (the entire internet connection) when trying to load up the launcher.

Hope this gets fixed since it seems alot of people are experiencing it.

Ok, restarted the puter and opened it with -repair on. Managed to login, looks like it is verifying the files before starting the game. Will let you guys know if I’m able to get into the game.

Ok, doing that seemed to do the trick, logged in and played for a while after that.

been experiencing this all day all night ever since MK patch

Connection Errors have prevented me from playing this game for almost 24 hours now when it was working just fine the day before yesterday, and I haven’t downloaded or installed or made any changes to anything since then. I’m guessing it’s server side issues? I’ve wanted to play the new tower or whatever it is and I can’t even begin to connect to the game hope I don’t miss these events because of Anet’s mistakes

Internet is fine…browsing just fine, other online games, perfect.

This is affecting me as well. I couldn’t connect on the 31st and I just tried several times and couldn’t connect. I restarted my router, restarted my machine and flushed the dns.
