Just because other things work fine, doesn’t mean there isn’t a problem.

Can you provide a bit more information.

How are you connected to the internet? Personal connection or some type of campus network? What type of router do you have? Are you playing wirelessly?

Hi jayvux. – If you’re getting all three of those error codes then there’s definitely something up. Do you have any security software enabled? Are you running the client as Admin? Lastly and most importantly, are you at least on a broadband Internet connection and are TCP ports 80, 443, 6112 completely open and accessible both inbound and outbound?

I’m having similar problem but only when I try to enter a Dungeon. Game crashes and network problems appear. Started to happen after the update. I have to try to enter 2 or 3 times after before getting to PvE.

Hi again jayvux – Have you tried bypassing your router completely and connecting directly to the modem? Also, when you say port 80, are you referring to the /clientport 80 command line or are you simply saying that port 80 is open? The reason that I ask is I’ve noticed an increase of blocked port 6112’s lately.

Hi Ashley,
Yeah, unfortunately I have, with negative results.
Regarding the port 80 matter, I am referring to /clientport 80, it was advised by a gw2 technician last month; no improvements or any signs of performance changes.
I am now only experiencing error 7. It is happening about every 2 min.
This only happens with GW2.

There is clearly something going on with the servers.. I and many others I know get DC every time we try and join a Dungeon. I am sure this is related as well

DC is chasing me wherever I go. I was mining in a deserted map…and then BAM, error 7 strikes back. Have been going on for months now. Had my internet provider’s technicians come down to check out what is going on, they said my internet is fine and stable and is most likely the game’s server issue.

If your Wife is sharing the same connection and she isn’t experiencing it… it would seem to be something with your system.

Yeah, countless game repairs have been done.
Not sure about first question, I just know both of us are using wifi, /clientport80, 3 months-old modem, turned off IPv6 connectivity, receiving about 10x the packets being sent, etc.
I was going to question that, how do we check who’s connection is prioritized?

Experiencing that as well, along with skill lags, error 7 and 58, error 19 when entering dungeons (even when leaving, sometimes). Never had this much issue with connectivity with any other games; different story with GW2.

Hi jayvux – Since we’re going this far into troubleshooting I’d like for you to submit a ticket so that we can better assist you one on one but I am curious to know, you’re just getting this error message while in game, correct? I have submitted a ticket a little bit back; was an ongoing discussion to diagnose the problem for months. The discussion got to the point where they could no longer help me and had me resort to consulting with my provider’s technician. They came and checked the status of my modem, connections, etc; everything was intact and working as intended. Now I am stuck with no one to go to anymore. I have tried port-forwarding, proxy-services, connecting to modem with ethernet cable, etc; all advised from Anet’s technicians but with no positive results.

This issue started since the release of Teq’s release and it only got worse from WvW Season 1 release. The pattern is very inconsistent, one day it will DC me every few minutes for a whole day, then the next day I will not DC at all, then sometimes I would go for days with DCing every few min, etc.

I heard somewhere on the forums that this issue is very common with Verizon users playing GW2; I am a Verizon user. Any input on this?

I too am having these issues. Ever since the patch I have not been able to go longer then 5 minutes before error 7. Most of the time it only takes 30 seconds or so. Please keep this post up dated for everyone.

Lots of error 7s and 58s here. I’ve actually had to stop playing as the frequency of disconnects I am experiencing is preventing me from doing anything. I just wanted to log in and buy that cool new Kasmeer staff and I can’t even complete a gem store purchase without being disconnected. I’ve done all sorts to optimise my connectivity and am having zero lag/disconnects with any other games. It’s getting a bit ridiculous now.
